Feeling rudderless, Kelsey Heeringa spent her 20s immersing herself in unique subcultures across America. She worked with deafblind students, volunteered with low-income youth across various states, attended four colleges, plowed her soul into an organic farm, wrote and directed theatre, lived in a tent alongside trail crews in the mountains, and joined an Intentional Community. In 2010 she moved to Tanzania, where there seemed no choice but to finally start writing about the wild, heartbreaking beauty of the world. She currently lives in Albania, where she sings Broadway showtunes to her wife and son.
Kelsey is always on the lookout for her silliness, which has grown shyer with age. If you notice it lurking about, somewhere near you, please contact her.
